A local family dentist returns to the Puget Sound area
Dr. Mindy Sessions grew up in Redmond, Washington and received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Washington. She then moved to Boston where she received her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) by graduating Cum Laude from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine. The following year she was accepted to Boston University’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency where she completed her Certificate of Advanced General Studies.

After her residency, Dr. Sessions practiced dentistry in Tennessee where her husband was on assignment with the military. There she joined a general family dental practice and enjoyed providing dental care to military families for many years. She also donated her time to provide dental care to children and underserved communities. She recently relocated back to the Seattle area to be nearer her family and continues to provide general family dental care.
Dr. Sessions enjoys spending family time with her husband, son, and black Labrador. Additionally, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding, hiking, and biking.
One of Dr. Sessions' patients recently posted this comment on Facebook:
"Dr. Sessions is great. Gentle, thoughtful, and informational WITHOUT making you feel bad or guilty about your teeth."

Laser bacterial reduction is a painless, state of the art new dental treatment to combat gum disease. Studies have shown that among factors that increase your susceptibility of acquiring gum disease include genetics, poor oral home care, and specific disease-causing bacteria. While we can’t change your genetics, we can work with your home care and greatly reduce your bacterial levels from billions to hundreds beneath the gums with laser bacterial reduction. This whole procedure takes five to ten minutes and consists of placing the tip of the laser 0.5 millimeters beneath your gums and taking the tip around all surfaces of your teeth. The laser light penetrates the bacteria and kills on contact for a painless procedure. Laser bacterial reduction can be used to treat current gum disease as well as to prevent gum disease from taking hold.
